There is a fantastic network of walks on Atholl Estates, exploring our glens and woodland and open moorland. Longer routes take you into the hills and the wilder parts of the Cairngorms.
Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept under control. Please refer to this guidance: dog leaflet.
For the intrepid walker, there are six Munros and two Corbetts and various long-distance routes through the hills such as Glen Tilt and the Minigaig Pass. During the stag stalking season (1 August to 20 October) we ask you to keep to main paths or use a hillphone service.
There are many paths in the woods between the castle and the caravan park which you can explore yourself. We also have six waymarked trails ranging from the one mile Red Squirrel Trail in the woods to the beautiful 10 mile Glen Tilt Trail.
Map boards showing these walks are found at Blair Atholl Information Centre, the Caravan Park and the Glen Tilt Car Park. The estate also manages a range of way-marked trails around Blair Atholl and Dunkeld.
Routes in Glen Tilt passing through the rifle range may be affected by temporary path closures. Click here for more information.
Walk leaflets can also be downloaded here:
Overnight parking of cars or campervans/caravans is not permitted at our Cally or Glen Tilt car parks. If you have a self-contained motorhome or campervan with its own facilities you can find out more information about our caravan park here.
