On some days, if there are high winds or heavy rainfall, Diana’s Grove will be closed to the public. This is due to safety reasons.
Blair Castle & Gardens operates seasonally, and will be open from the 28th March 2024.

Disabled visitors should get guidance and help from reception staff on arrival at the ticket office who will direct them, if appropriate, to park close to the castle.
A full tour of the castle includes three floors and it is not possible to avoid stairs. Your entry ticket allows admittance to the whole of the ground floor which is accessible by wheelchair from the disabled parking area and gives access to several display rooms, the gift shop, restaurant, lavatories (including disabled lavatory), and an audio-visual tour presentation (with subtitles) on the castle.
We do not permit wheelchairs on the upper floors.
The audiovisual facility provides a rolling 25-minute display showing many aspects of the castle. It is principally intended for disabled visitors who are given priority but are otherwise open to all.
Accompanying carers will not be charged entry to Blair Castle. In addition, we welcome guide dogs, caring dogs and other recognised assistance dogs.
We offer free Wi-Fi to our valued guests within Blair Castle, and this is accessible throughout the castle from the following network.

To keep our collections safe and with consideration to all our visitor’s uninterrupted enjoyment, we never allow tripods, selfie sticks or flash photography.
We strongly encourage you to book in advance, to avoid disappointment if we reach capacity on the day. Tickets can still be bought from our ticket office, however we have a fast-track lane available for those who have advanced tickets, avoiding any unnecessary queueing and giving you more time to enjoy the enchanting Blair Castle & Gardens. Please note, we don’t accept cash in the ticket office, card payments only.
Yes, our Hercules Garden is maintained and managed by an expert team of gardeners, and as such admission to the 9-acre walled gardens are included in both our Gardens Only and House & Gardens ticket options.
Due to its historical and heritage status, we will only allow Guide Dogs and other recognised Assistance Dogs within the interiors of Blair Castle. Please do bring along any official paper work/documents with you as our ticketing team may ask to see them.
Within our Castle Grounds, we are more than happy for dogs to enjoy the boundless green spaces, provided that they are kept on short leads and supervised at all times.
There are extensive walking routes surrounding the Castle, which are perfect for exercising your dog. Please be mindful that this is a working estate with livestock and other wildlife on trails, so please keep dogs under control to minimise disruption.

There is an EV charging point within our visitor car park at Blair Castle, provided by Pod Point. The pod is rated at 7kw and is easy to use via their Pod Point app. Simply download and register for an account prior to use and follow the steps for charging.
As part of our ongoing efforts to be sustainable at Blair Castle, the Pod Point is connected to the castle hydro scheme, which was reinstated in 2015. As a result, it is powered entirely by renewable energy.
Blair Castle Caravan Park operates seasonally, and will be open as follows:
Woodland Lodges: 1st January – 31st December
Tourers, Motorhomes and Campers: 1st March – 31st October
Camping Pods: 1st March – 30th November
Caravan Holiday Homes: 1st April – 30th November
Advance booking is strongly advised and all enquiries should be made to the park reception. After confirmation, all amendments are subject to a £5.00 administration fee and all prices shown on our schedules include VAT at the prevailing rate.
Please be aware that as we are a family park, most of our customers are families with children or mature couples. We operate a very strict ‘all quiet at 11 pm’ policy.
Blair Castle Caravan Park welcomes dogs to join you on your holiday and we ask that there is maximum two dogs per pitch provided that they are kept on short leads and supervised at all times.

Towels are only provided in our Woodland Lodges and Luxury Caravan Holiday Homes. Otherwise, please bring your own.

Our Camping Pods allow you to reconnect with nature, and as such all that is inside is a Futon/Sofa Bed. Campers must bring their own bedding and essentials, and the nearest shower block provides other facilities.
Our fully serviced pitches have water, electricity and a drain for grey water disposal for your convenience.
Our electric-only has an electricity point only.
Gazebos or Event Shelters are not permitted on the park under any circumstances.
Please do! The estate has some of Highland Perthshires best views, so capture away, as long as you are courteous of the natural environment.
Please be aware this is a working estate, so ensure you are not disruptive to this and are aware of your surroundings.
As with any photography in a natural environment, there are inherent dangers involved, so please ensure you keep yourself safe, as Atholl Estates is not liable for any damage to equipment or persons whilst out on the estate.

The use of drones and other flying machinery is not allowed over Blair Castle & Gardens, the Castle grounds, or on the wider estate, unless in exceptional circumstances.

Should you cancel your booking, the deposit if non-refundable and you may be responsible for cancellation charges which can vary depending on the time of cancellation. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details.
Depending on the size of the accommodation, we hold a £200 – £500 pre-authorisation to cover any accidental damages that may occur. It will be released back to you within 3 weeks of departure should the property be left in the way it was found.
We have accommodation with varying degrees of accessibility but none fully wheelchair accessible.
We ask that you strip all beds before departure and use the clear bags provided. Please also leave kitchen crockery clean and dishwasher empty.
Yes, all lodges have access to a cot/ highchair. Please contact us to set these up for you before arrival. Please note, the cot bedding is not provided.
Yes. All linen and towels are provided at no extra charge.
Yes, dogs are welcome to all Lodges, Cabins and Cottages across the estate and Curlew Shepherds Hut. We have a maximum two dog policy per stay and we do ask that they stay on the ground floor and off the furniture. Please make sure you pick up after your dog before you leave.
All accommodation has free wifi except the Shepherds Huts. Passwords are in lodge guest books.
