Senior Stalker for the renowned Forest Lodge Beat of Atholl Estates (live-in role)

Reporting to Head Stalker.

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced hill stalker who would enjoy leading implementation of land management on Atholl’s famous beat of Forest Lodge?

This is a long-term opportunity for a live-in role and work in a remote but well-supported estate environment, with a strong emphasis on professionalism, discretion, and pride in standards. Forest Lodge’s rural location means that there is an opportunity for housekeeping support to be provided by the partner of the Senior Stalker.

Seasonal role: Immediate start – October 2026

Hours: Full-time 

Pay: £13.45 per hour

The caravan park is our most significant holiday accommodation enterprise and it’s a thriving and lively business with a strong and friendly team. This role involves carrying out general building and caravan maintenance, grounds work, housekeeping, security and health & safety issues on the park. Provide excellent customer service at all times.

Main duties:

• To be hands on and carry out maintenance duties across the park.
• Assist with the park’s internal maintenance reporting system, to ensure we act quickly to resolve customer complaints / concerns and log recurring problems, which may need long term attention.
• To assist with regular checks on the park’s caravan hire fleet, logging maintenance issues.
• To assist with general estate maintenance issues when required.
• To assist with maintaining the grounds to a standard commensurate with our 5 Star rating.
• Assist with maintaining the security and safety procedures for visitors and staff.
• Provide assistance to and support to all teams within the Caravan Park enterprise as required.
• Comply with health & safety directives and organisational policy, including regular fire drills.
• Comply with organisational policy for green tourism and recycling policies.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions as required including after hours sessions – reasonable notice is given and staff are paid for their time.
• Any other duties as required.

Essential requirements:

• Applicants must have a full and valid driving licence.
• The role will require a disclosure Scotland check.

The caravan park is open seven days a week.  Staff work on rotas arranged throughout the week.  Flexibility is required to meet the changing demands of the season. Warden shifts include regular evening and weekend cover.

Blair Castle Caravan Park in Blair Atholl is at the entrance to the Cairngorms National Park making it a convenient and beautiful base for exploring Highland Perthshire. Situated within the grounds of the magnificent Blair Castle & Gardens, it’s a truly unique location steeped in history and charm.

Main Purpose:
To assist with housekeeping and cleaning duties in all areas of Blair Castle Caravan Park. As frequent contact with our visitors is part of the daily routine, a smart appearance and a high standard of customer care are expected.

Main duties:

• To assist with general housekeeping duties, including vacuuming and cleaning of Park accommodation, such as Woodland Lodges and Static Caravans.
• Cleaning of public areas and Shower Blocks across the Park, including evening shifts.
• Cleaning of Reception area, Offices, Games room, Staff room and toilets.
• To assist with deep cleaning duties as required.
• To assist with laundry and other related duties as required.
• To maintain high cleaning standards across the Park as required and directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor, and management spot checks.
• Follow procedures for reporting any maintenance issues.
• Comply with health and safety directives and organisational policy, including fire drills.
• Comply with organisational policy for green tourism and recycling.
• Provide assistance and support to other teams across the Caravan Park and Atholl Estates as required.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
• Safe handling and transportation of cleaning chemicals.
