Ranger service

Education

Atholl Estates Ranger services is available to lead class visits to the estate. This facility is provided free of charge. Sessions will usually be one hour and group sizes will usually be a maximum of 16 pupils. Sessions are listed below, however, we will happily tailor a session to suit your requirements. We have a small indoor space but it can only accommodate about half a class so most sessions will be outdoors. We have an area with picnic tables and toilets at our Ranger Centre. We can also arrange school visits with Highland Perthshire.

 

Primary Schools

Minibeasts – Hunting for bugs and learning about how and where they live. Suitable for P1-7

Senses – Using our senses to explore the natural world. Best for Nursery to P2.

Scottish Wildlife – Exploring outdoors to learn about the creatures that call Scotland home (includes visit to see our Deer Park). Suitable P1-7.

Woodland – Exploring the woodland habitat to learn about trees and the creatures that depend on them. Suitable for P1-7.

Food chains – Learn about simple ecosystems, interdependence and conservation. Best for P4-7.

 

 

Secondary School

We can facilitate fieldwork for N4&5 Biology and Geography. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
