Blair Castle Horse Trials Return for 2021
Scotland’s most prestigious equestrian event, the Land Rover Blair Castle International Horse Trials will return on the 26th – 29th August 2021.
The international eventing competitions of the CCI1*, CCI2*-L, the CCI3*-L, the CCI4*-S and the CCI4*-L will be the largest UK three day event of 2021. For the third year, Blair will also be hosting the British Eventing Scottish Grassroots Championships at both BE90 and BE100 level. This allows up and coming riders to join international athletes and experience an international horse trials first-hand. Show Jumping will take place on Saturday in the main arena and cross-country will take place on Sunday, allowing spectators to enjoy an extra day of cross-country.
For those who are more interested in British Showjumping, there will be plenty of opportunities to compete in various different classes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Highlights will include the Scottish Branch Grade C Championship and the Blair Atholl Grand Prix Incorporating the Scottish Branch North West Championship. All British Showjumping classes can be found in the Tilt, Banvie and Main Arena, so you will never be too far away from the action, as they are right at the heart of the event.
If that still wasn’t enough horsey action for you to enjoy, there will be various Native Horses and Ponies classes, showing classes including the Clydesdales, Veterans and the Hunter Show, as well as the Pony Club Mounted Games happening throughout the four days. No matter what your equestrian interests are, there really will be something for everyone to enjoy during your time at Land Rover Blair Castle International Horse Trials.
