Accounts Assistant (1 Year fixed term)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established finance team at a time of significant development to cover a period of maternity leave. This role would be well suited to someone with previous accounts assistant experience in any of a number of functions – sales, purchases, cash or other, or to someone with general experience in these areas. The successful candidate will need to be proficient in Excel, comfortable with learning new systems and inquisitive about how to improve processes and find efficiencies in the current approach. Previous experience of SAGE is beneficial but not necessary.

Working with the Head Gardener and the team to deliver an extensive range of work including seasonal maintenance of flower, shrub, kitchen gardens, woodland gardens and parks, with specialised historic and botanic plant collections, including trees, hedges, shrubs, roses, wall trained fruit trees, climbers, herbaceous plants and annuals. Non – specialist propagation and plant production and maintenance under glass. General maintenance of all glasshouses, cold frames. Use of garden machinery as necessary including mowers, strimmers, tractor and trailers, shredders, scarifiers, snow ploughs and other machinery and hired plant. Seasonal Housekeeper – Housekeeping Team, Fixed Term Contract 2019

We have an exciting opportunity that has come up and are looking for a housekeeping assistant to join our wonderful castle seasonal housekeeping team from July to October this year. The position available is working within the castle team to assist with housekeeping and cleaning duties in all areas of Blair Castle and assist with customer care. Flexibility is required to meet the changing demands of the season. Housekeeping shifts are usually arranged between the hours of 7.30 am to 5.30 pm. Duties will include general housekeeping and cleaning duties, including vacuuming and dusting, working with extra care around antique and museum items in the castle.
